Summer Bridge Program

The Mathematics Summer Bridge Program will help freshmen and transfer students who are admitted to any of UM-Dearborn’s four colleges. Students pursuing programs that require science, mathematics, and economics are encouraged to apply.  The 4-week program helps students develop a solid foundation of mathematics to successfully matriculate through math courses. 

Mathematics Summer Bridge Program Details

  • The 4-week program will be hosted on campus between July 22, 2024 - August 23, 2024
  • The program will meet three days each week from 10 am-12 pm (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) 
  • Participating in the program is FREE to students but spaces are limited. 
  • Having a solid foundation of mathematics is key to success as you matriculate through your math courses. 
  • Students will also learn effective research based study skills that will help navigate college studies.
  • Students will have access to support resources through the Math Learning Center (MLC) for the duration of their degree program.
     

Student Eligibility 

  • Incoming first year students taking Math 080, MATH 090, Math 100, or Math 105
  • Transfer student who hasn’t worked with math in a long time
  • Incoming first year student or transfer student who would benefit from a review of algebra as well as learn effective study strategies
  • Incoming first year student of transfer student concerned about the math preparation you received in high school
