WRC Impact Grant
The Impact Grant is a program housed in the University of Michigan-Dearborn Women’s Resource Center of small, emergency grants for students. These grants, typically between $50 and $150, are meant to address serious, unanticipated emergencies that could delay or halt the education of students. Examples include a bad tire, a child care crisis, or a need for a textbook.
The grant may not be requested for tuition related expenses and a direct connection must be demonstrated between the reason for the grant and your ability to attend and complete your classes or class work. Please include documentation of the need (such as an electric bill, syllabus listing the required text book and documentation of cost from the bookseller, estimate of the car repair).
*Please note that students may only receive one Impact Grant during their educational career at UM-Dearborn. Eligibility is determined by WRC staff and available funding.
Students wishing to apply for an Impact Grant can access the form online or stop by the WRC in 2106 UC to pick one up. You may print out and complete the form and turn it in along with your documentation to the WRC office or you may complete the form electronically, print it out and fax it along with your documentation to 313-583-6328.
