Students Employed by the ECEC

As a student staff member, you would be an important part of our operations.  The ECEC expects staff members to fulfill weekly hours that are scheduled at the beginning of each term until the last day of the term.  In order to work in the classrooms, you must have the following: a Criminal Background Check, negative TB test, a Department of Human Services clearance and a physician's statement indicating you are physically capable of working with young children. Daily duties of assistant teachers include (but are not limited to) the following: interact with children, greet parents, attend to the needs of children, prepare snack, do general cleaning, etc.

Student staff also have the opportunity to work with center administration. Administrators serve the parents, children, teachers, students and staff of the ECEC.  Daily duties of office assistants include (but are not limited to) the following: interact with children, assist parents, answer telephones, type, file, xerox, run errands on campus, help teachers with projects, etc.
